a note from rachel
The journey to Congruence began with a moment of stark clarity: Here I was, shaping technology impacting billions, yet witnessing a profound disconnection from what actually makes us thrive.
For years, I have navigated the intersection of technology, creativity, and human flourishing. As a design leader at Google, I shaped products that touched billions of lives daily. At Salesforce, I pioneered human-centered AI principles. Through ventures in education, emotional intelligence, and storytelling AI, I witnessed both the promise and peril of innovation divorced from wisdom.
But beneath the accolades, a troubling pattern emerged. Brilliant leaders burning out. Organizations optimizing for metrics while their people withered. Technology advancing at breakneck speed while wisdom lagged behind. We'd built remarkable systems for scaling impact, but somewhere along the way, we'd lost sight of what that impact was meant to serve.
My path took an unexpected turn inward. What began as curiosity about consciousness became a profound journey of discovery. Through 8 years of daily practice, 5,000+ hours of meditation, and 65 days on retreat, I encountered a truth that changed everything: the integration we seek in the world must first happen within us.
Drawing from training in 20+ meditation traditions, with Mahamudra as my current primary practice, I discovered how ancient wisdom illuminates modern challenges. I taught meditation at Google and have been volunteering at Spirit Rock Meditation Center since 2018, continually exploring how presence transforms leadership. When inner coherence meets strategic clarity, when personal mastery serves collective good, leadership transforms from a role we play to a force for regeneration.
This realization didn't just spark Congruence. It demanded it. The world needed leaders who could hold both dimensions.
Today, I guide visionary leaders and organizations in integrating what our world desperately needs: the depth of contemplative wisdom with the dynamism of strategic action. The rigor of systems thinking with the warmth of human connection. The urgency of our moment with the patience of regenerative change.
My work draws from diverse wells of experience. As an award-winning designer, I shaped Google Maps and Search, reaching over 2 billion users monthly, and pioneered human-centered AI principles at Salesforce. I've collaborated with Fortune 500 companies, including Hyundai, PlayStation, and Whirlpool, always seeking to understand how technology can serve human flourishing.
My entrepreneurial journey includes founding ventures in education, emotional intelligence, and storytelling AI, learning firsthand how organizations can become forces for flourishing or perpetuate harm. These experiences revealed both the promise and limitations of innovation without wisdom.
Today, as a selected member of Forbes Coaches Council, I partner with Fortune 500 executives, Forbes 30 Under 30 founders, and Y Combinator alumni through their growth journeys. Each engagement reinforces what I've learned: when leaders align inner truth with outer action, they don't just succeed. They become catalysts for the flourishing our world desperately needs.
Through Congruence's coaching, consulting, and speaking, I help leaders discover how integrity becomes impact. How inner work enables outer transformation. How organizations can thrive while regenerating the systems we all depend on.
I believe we're being called to something unprecedented: to lead not from old models of dominance or extraction, but from a deep recognition of our interconnectedness. To build organizations that regenerate rather than deplete. To use our influence in service of all life thriving.
For those ready to lead from wholeness and catalyze genuine flourishing, I'm here as a guide, catalyst, and fellow traveler on the path.
Because the future belongs to leaders who understand that integrity isn't just how we lead. It's why we'll flourish.
In service of our collective flourishing,
Rachel
